The Suminagashi Project

 

The wind in far West Texas is a beast all on it's own. It feels sentient with it's multi-faceted personality.

I wanted to capture it in a physical sense, put the unseen but fiercly felt experiences down on paper, combining it with the pinhole portraits to mark place and time using Sumi ink marbeling to create wind portraits.
